I feel like a new woman. My humongous bandage is off and I can see! This is what my new nose looks like. Not too shabby. (please ignore the fact that I am wearing zero make-up today.. it's jus been one of those days) I think in a couple of months you will not be able to see anything at all. (Or at least I am hoping.) I am just so happy to have all bandages off of my face. To be honest I didn't make it the full week wearing the nose bandage. The day before my appointment Sophia finally managed to yank the whole thing off. Right after she pulled it off, I freaked out. I imagined she pulled the skin graft off along with the bandaids. After running to the mirror and examining it, I realized that all she did was pull off about an inch of gauze and tape. There was a small cotton ball sown onto my nose, and it was unharmed. So, I just taped over the cotton ball and had a great day. I was in such a better mood and very glad she yanked it off. The next day at my appointment I explained what Sophia had done and the nurse was like, "no problem, as long as the cotton ball is still sewn on." Later on during my appointment I could hear the nurses talking in the hall. The nurse was telling the nurse who originally gave me the huge bandage how Sophia pulled it off, and she replied, "It doesn't surprise me, you know how BIG I make my bandages." WHAT? Why did I have to get the overzealous bandaging nurse? It made me want to tape something huge on her nose and tell her to walk around with it for a week.
Anyways, I am really happy with the results. :)
